Principal comments about celebrating success: Southbroom Infants
I am thrilled to see so many amazing pieces of work, photographs and projects that have been completed over the past few weeks. We are so grateful to all the dedication and enthusiasm with the home learning by both children and parents. Everyone is doing such a good job. I just wanted to share a few examples of some home learning that really brought a smile to my face. These are difficult times but these images show that children are still happy and learning at home, exploring the world around them with such enthusiasm and perseverance.
The first image shows one of year 2 pupils who has created a bug hotel outside, linked to the project work on the home learning page about bug hunting. I think the bugs will be very pleased with their new surroundings!
The second picture is from one of our nursery children, he had lots of fun down in the woods with his family collecting stones, Twigs, leaves and flowers to make his mandala.
The third is from one of our year 1 pupils who was inspired to complete a whole project on snails after doing her mini beast hunt from the home learning project. The video shows the snail upside down where the family are watching how it moves. The children were fascinated and talked in detail about it when they came into school.
We thank all the families who are getting so involved with the learning at home. You really are making a difference .
