Southbroom After School Club is open to all children at Southbroom Infants, Southbroom St James Academy and Wansdyke Primary School. We offer your children a fun activity club and offer you peace of mind.
We provide after school care five days a week from 3.00pm to 6pm. The children are free to choose from a wide range of indoor activities such as art and craft projects, Lego, Wii, DVD's and a variety of board and tabletop games.
We also provide equipment for physical play activities, both indoors and out. When the weather allows we have full use of the school playing-field and adventure play area, within the constraints of the necessary supervision. Snacks and drinks are provided. The After School Club employs trained professionals and has one play leader, a deputy play leader and two playworkers. The play leader is responsible for the everyday running of the Club and the health and safety of the children. All the staff have NVQ2 or equivalent in childcare or are working towards this level.
Parents can book up to five sessions per week. Sessions must preferably be booked at least one week in advance to enable us to provide adequate childcare ratios. For more information and to book a place please contact Bev c/o the Infants school office tel. 01380 723184. Ad-hoc places may be available, please speak to Bev and she will try to accommodate your needs.
The cost of the Southbroom After School Club is £4.00 per hour or £10 for the full evening. There is no discount for a 2nd sibling, but a discount will be offered for a 3rd sibling. Full fees are payable for sickness and holidays during term time. The club is registered with Ofsted and meets all of the requirements they set. We have a set of policies and procedures which are available for parents and carers once they register with the club
Throughout the year the Charlie Austin Football School run a weekly football club from 3-4pm on a Friday which is delivered by Inclusion Coaching. Steve Hooper, the coach, can be contacted by emailing: email@example.com. Further details can be found at www.inclusioncoaching.com.
The school also offers a series of short term clubs, usually lasting about 6 weeks which are intended to give children a taster or introduction to a number of sports: for example sports multi skills, tag rugby, hockey, netball, basketball, athletics and tri-golf.
In addition teachers run a variety of clubs throughout the year, such as Christmas Crafts, and we run clubs jointly with Southbroom St James Academy in Lantern Making and Carnival Costume making to create our joint entries for the Devizes Lantern Parade and the Devizes Carnival.
